About

Pavit Saxena

Contemporary Indian Artist

Artist statement

Nature, memory and imagination, held together through colour.

My work begins with a close attention to nature and its quiet rhythms. Birds, flowers and trees return as carriers of memory, emotion and story, while traditional Indian motifs connect the familiar world to a wider visual inheritance. I allow recognisable forms to move towards abstraction through colour, pattern and repeated marks, building compositions that feel both rooted and open to imagination.

Working primarily in acrylic, and also across watercolour, ink and mixed media, I am drawn to the energy that emerges when decorative form meets contemporary experience. My practice explores harmony, human connection and awareness, with colour shaping both mood and movement. As an artist and educator, I see making as an act of curiosity: a way to observe more closely, experiment freely and invite others into a shared space of discovery.
